Cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina prepared rich Programs for the New Year
Judging by the announced New Year’s programs, but also by the figures for the craziest night, the cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina are not far behind regional and European centers, and some of them will set aside hundreds of thousands of marks for the public celebration of the New Year.
The winter season in the city of Tuzla will be marked again this year by the event “Winter in Tuzla”, which year after year grows into a tourist brand recognizable beyond the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
With the aim of enriching the tourist offer in the winter period, and for the purpose of supporting entrepreneurs and craftsmen, the Tourist Board and the City of Tuzla have this year, through the provision of mobile homes, facilitated the promotion of the local economy on Freedom Square from December 15 to January 7, and during that period citizens, but also the guests have the opportunity to enjoy the festive charms, gastronomic offer and entertainment program.
The crown of the “Winter in Tuzla” event is certainly the public New Year’s celebration on the largest square in BiH, Freedom Square, and this year the people of Tuzla and numerous guests will usher in the New Year with Bajaga and instructors, as well as the Tuzla group Divan and DJ Shadow Kid from Tuzla.
Traditionally, on December 31, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., the Children’s New Year will be organized on Freedom Square with a rich musical and entertainment program suitable for the youngest.
40,000 euros for Bajaga and instructors, and 100,000 BAM for decorating the city
The fee for the stars on New Year’s Eve, Bajaga and the instructors, is 40,000 euros, was confirmed to Fena from the Tuzla City Administration.
They added that this year, around 100,000 marks were allocated to decorate the city for the upcoming New Year holidays.
“The largest part of this amount has been set aside for the purchase of festive, New Year’s installations in the City Park intended, first of all, for the youngest, but also for other Tuzla residents and visitors,” stated the City of Tuzla.
The people of Banja Luka expect a larger number of tourists from surrounding countries
Banja Luka is also preparing to welcome the new year, 2024, when all Banja Luka residents and numerous tourists will be entertained by two regional music stars, Željko Samardžić and Lepa Brena, on the plateau in front of the new sports arena next to Mladen Stojanović Park.
Namely, on New Year’s Eve on December 31, Željko Samardžić will perform, while on the first day of the new year 2024, a concert by Lepa Brena is expected, so there is no doubt that these two concert evenings in Banja Luka will attract a large number of tourists from surrounding countries, such as and it was the case in previous years, emphasized the City Administration of Banja Luka.
Also, in addition to the mentioned performers, in part of the music program, the plan is to engage artists and performers from Banja Luka, all in order to support and promote the local music scene.
Precisely, as they state, the intention of the City as an organizer is to offer all fellow citizens the best, most attractive and high-quality program that would therefore contribute to greater visits by tourists from the countries of the region and from abroad.
The local City Administration says that Banja Luka residents and all visitors are already enjoying the great “Banja Luka Winter” program in the heart of the city. Namely, as they point out, in the environment of the “Petar Kočić” Park, this year, in addition to a rich gastronomic offer and many different contents for all generations, over 300 hours of entertainment programs have been prepared as part of “Zimzobal”.
Also, Banja Luka is preparing for the opening of “Zimzopark”, another place where the people of Banja Luka, as well as numerous tourists, will be able to experience the New Year’s magic.
“Zimzopark” located in “Mladen Stojanović” Park near the sports arena, where New Year’s concerts will also be held, will open its doors on December 29 at 6 p.m., when all visitors to this location will be treated to a real holiday spectacle. Namely, in “Zimzopark” special activities are planned, which, in addition to the winter market, entertainment program, also include fairy-tale carriage rides.
When it comes to funds, the City of Banja Luka announced a public procurement for the organization of outdoor concerts in the amount of about 189,000 marks including VAT, the City Administration emphasized.
By the way, the celebration of the New Year’s holidays was supported by many friends of the City, and funds for these purposes will be provided from donor funds.
As they stated, Banja Luka received some new jewelry for this year’s decoration of the city, and some of the old jewelry was also used.
The people of Mostar will allocate 110 thousand euros for Joksimović
With a spectacular program with one of the biggest regional stars, Željko Joksimović, Mostar will sail into 2024 on the stage located next to the promenade of Nikola Šubić Zrinski.
The New Year’s program in Mostar will begin with a children’s New Year’s Eve at noon, where the youngest Mostars will be entertained by Lola clowns and magician Stefano. The highlight of the entertainment for the youngest will be the New Year’s show with Santa Claus, performed by the Mostar Puppet Theatre.
